Keywords are indisputably, the single most important element of an anchor text.First of all, for those who are still learning the ropes let us define an anchor text. Anchor Text is also called Title Text. It is a clickable statement or text on a webpage, which takes you to another page or website. It is a link to another site or page.
The question is what should be considered an ideal anchor text? Since it is an invitation, it should be able to draw attention. It should ideally be self explanatory also. By looking at Anchor Text, one should be be able to figure out where one is going to land. Anchor texts within the site (i.e. links which take you from one page of the site to another) also should be chosen carefully
Make sure your Anchor text has your main keywords as part of text. It needn’t sound like a bunch of keywords put together. And, according expert optimizers, one should keep changing one’s anchor text once in two-three weeks. Especially Google looks for such change and development. Your anchor text on other sites with your main keyword will help you move up that much faster. Anchor text thus is a very important element of SEO.

Let me guess, you’ve read article after article on how to FINALLY get your site ranked at the top of the search engines. In fact, your mind is probably spinning with info and now you are just flat-out confused.Am I right?
Well, this article is going to erase that confusion and set you on the right path to higher search engine rankings… the easy and SECRET way!
Take a deep breath and clear your head. I’m going to give you 3 TOP tips to instantly help your rankings.
We will follow the K.I.S.S Method (Keep it simple stupid!)
Ok here we go…
1. Focus on the RIGHT keywords
Your website or pages on your site need to focus on one or two PRIMARY keyword or keyword phrases. But the trick here is to not focus on keyword phrases that are almost impossible to rank high for. An example? Type in “credit cards” in Google and look at the amount of competing websites for that phrase. To reach the top 10 for that phrase will be extremely difficult. So pick other related phrases with less competition. They are out there, you just need to find them.
2. Put the keywords in the right places
Now that you have found the keywords or keyword phrases you want to pursue high rankings for, it is VITAL you put them in the right spots within your website. Here are the important spots…
*Get your main keywords in your title of your site
*Get your main keywords in your H1 and H2 headings
*Sprinkle in your keywords in your text…but not overkill!
*Have images? Insert your keywords in the ALT Tags
*Don’t forget…get your main keyword in the LAST spot on your page
DON’T be afraid to also mix in some secondary keywords with your main keywords. Do all of this in moderation. The last thing you want are search engines to think you are just spamming.
DON’T forget that CONTENT IS KING! Mix in your real, original content in with your keywords and watch your site take off!
3. Spy on your competitors
Ok, I’m going to let you in on a littlet secret tool that you really need to invest in. You can thank me later.
In order to get high rankings for the keywords you selected, you need to spy on the websites that are already there…and then go the extra mile to get one step ahead of them. What you need to look at is their link popularity and also WHAT other sites are linking back. You also need to look at things such as Google Page Rank, etc.
Now that I’ve stated what you need to look for, I’m going to reveal to you a little tool that will create HUGE results for your own site with just the click of the mouse. This is the tool that those with high rankings won’t tell you about.
Before you do anything else, go here to see what I’m talking about…
Here’s the secret tool
In conclusion, if you follow just these three steps I’ve outlined above, you will be doing better than 90% of other webmasters out there! Just keep it simple, focus on your keywords and content, and spy on those that already are in the top positions. It won’t be long and you will be “king of the hill” and will reap the rewards!
Do you want your site to get to the top of the search engines?
Then you need this secret SEO tool to get there!

Nowadays, there is so much talk about SEO (search engine optimization) that it has become an industry of its own. Still, 90% of webmasters don`t know how to achieve high search engine positions. In this article, you`ll learn what the 90% doesn`t…First of all, I would like to give a huge credit to Brad Callen, a man that taught me more than any other “guru” on the planet. He is so simple, and always gets to the point. you can visit his site at seoelite.com (note: In show of respect, I`m not even his affiliate, so if you buy SEO Elite, the software you must have for SEO to decimate your time spent, I won`t get a penny from it).
Back to the start. What is actually SEO- search engine optimization?
Well, in the previous articles you`ve learned how to choose a domain name for your website, how to choose a web host , how to actually make your own website and what (profitable) topic should your website be about. Now it`s time for SEO.
SEO is simply adjusting your website to get high position in the search engine results.
When you were an ordinary surfer, let`s say you searched for “jokes”. What you probably didn`t know is that the first 10 websites in the results busted their asses for such positions. Admit it, you didn`t even care. You just wanted to get relevant results for keyword “jokes”. Newsflash, you got them.
That`s what search engines are for: providing relevant content for their users.
Now that you are in the website development business, your goal is to get one of those top 10 positions.
Some people say it`s hard, I say it requires time. If you don`t know how to achieve high rankings then it`s hard.
You`ll learn how to do it right here, in this article, only on Construct-a-site.com
)).
Let`s start with the proven facts why should you even optimize your website for search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN (top 3)
- Search engines are the best source for free and targeted (you`ll learn what “targeted traffic” is in the upcoming articles) traffic.
- Search engines bring you more than 80% of your total traffic.
- Without Search Engines no one would be able to find your website that quick (or maybe not at all).
- CONCLUSION: it is essential to get your site indexed by search engines
Yep, totally essential. Finally, let`s start kicking SE-s asses.
Factors that affect your rankings
As my mentor Brad would say, there are 2 factors that have effect on your search engine positioning: The on-page optimization factors
The on-page optimization factors
The off-page optimization factors
The on-page optimitation factors
Generally, for Google- less important, for Yahoo and MSN- quite important.
There is a phrase: “Content is the king”, which is totally true.
The on-page factors include how is a website built, and by that I don`t mean the design. Here is what really counts to search engines:
- Using h1 header tags. Make all of your article and web page titles under the h1 header tags and put some of your main keywords under them. Search engines love that !
- Using alt image tags. If you have images on your website, make sure you describe them with alt tags. Also, put some of your keywords into them. Search engines love that !
- Use ordered and unordered lists. They have bigger importance than the normal text, and will also help your visitors that “scan” for information. Search engines love that !
- Give your text more order and “readability”. Don`t put everything in one place. Break the text with paragraphs. Bold and italicize important keywords. “All-in-all”, make your visitors enjoy reading your content. Search engines love that !
- Regulary update your website with fresh content. Your visitors will be very pleased to find out that a new article about their favourite topic ( that`s why they`re visiting your website..) came out. It also pleases search engine spiders (crawlers) to see that your website is updated often. They will update your site more often in the index. Search engines love that !
- Never, ever use “black hat” SEO. “Black hat” SEO is optimizing your website with things to trick the Search Engines. Some examples of the “black hat ” SEO:1. Title spamming. Place noumerous same keywords in your tags. E.g pets, pets, pets, pets, pets .
2. URL cloaking. When someone redirects SE crawlers to a site totally optimized for them, but a regular sufer is redirected to a completely different website.
3. Using hidden text. This one is one of the most common. You simply change the color of your text to the color of your background.
4. tag spamming. Same as .
Keep in mind that search engines evolve daily, so if you saw someone succeed with this kind of tricks, his site will eventually get banned from search engines –> “Good bye business”. Search engines hate that!
Be honest, and work hard, results will come, I guarantee .
So much for the on-page optimization factors. Generally, you want to make a website that is easy to read, update it often with fresh content and don`t use tricks.
As much as these factors are important, they won`t boost your website rank from 150000000000 to 1,2,3,4,5… and that`s the thing that I`ve learned from Brad Callen. Thanks …:)
It`s the off-page optimizaion factors that will generate tremendous results… read on.
2. The off-page optimization factors
Very important on Yahoo and MSN, even more important on Google.
The off-page optimization factors are factors that your website is not directly involved in.
The golden rule here is: “Make other websites link to yours !”
You see, Search Engines, especially Google, developed an an algorithm that gives your website more importance if other websites link to it. very simple, it`s like elections. Whoever gets more votes wins. so, start working on your links from other sites.
It can be a very long work, but you can really speed it up with software such as Arelis or SEO Elite
Here`s one trick that I`ve learned from Brad to exchange links with hundreds of relevant websites without having to search for their contact information and sending the E-mails with link exchange proposals:
Google (exactly): YOUR KEYWORD “please also suggest my link to the linkpartners.com directory” Just replace YOUR KEYWORD with …well.. your website`s main keyword, or even its category.
you can also visit a new website called linkmetro.com. They have an interesting concept for exchanging links. Personally, I use it.
The other thing that I`ve learned, and probably managed to succeed because of it, is THE ANCHOR TEXT
The anchor text that points to your website from the other one should always be your keywords that you want to rank high. So when you fill out link exchange forms, your link should look something like this:
YOUR MAIN KEYWORD, YOUR SECONDARY KEYWORD …your website features, benefits, special discounts…etc….
This is probably the most important factor that Google counts when it ranks your website. Note: if you have a quality site with unique content, other websites will start to link to you without a link-back requests. This is also great, so make your content a quality one.
The third thing that is also very important is the Google pagerank of the site (page) that is linking to you. We will learn about Google pagerank in the upcoming article (..in about 2 days..).
If you liked the article, feel free to distribute it on your website, as long as all of the links remain intact. You should also place a small link to Construct-a-site.com
You can visit my site at http://www.construct-a-site.com to learn how to make your own fully functional, money making website. You can also read interesting articles that contain website design and marketing tips and find out about hundreds of webmaster resources..Site is updated daily..Oh, I almost forgot: I`m only 16 y.o and still, I managed to succeed on internet…I metioned that just to inform you that this is not some scammy guru site, because I don`t sell anything that`s not worth of your money..

Bringing visitors to your site from the main Search engines is more of a process than one event. The first step is to make sure your webpages are’Search Engine friendly’. This process is also called ‘Search Engine Optimization(SEO). You can begin by checking your keywords and making certain you have the appropriate balance in the main body of your webpage, and that these keywords are in your title as well. The title may be the most important area of your site to put your primary keywords or keyword phrases. Be sure that you do not try to target more than a few keywords or keyword phrases.Meta tags, which are the invisible tags at the top of your html code, are of less importance nowadays. But you should probably include your keywords there nonetheless, as the tags are still used by some search engines when ’spidering’ your site for inclusion in their database. When making your Alt tags for your images, be careful not to place too many keywords there as the search engines appear to be getting wise to this practice. This is often called “keyword stuffing and it is a shady or “black hat” seo practice. In severe cases it could possibly lead to your website being banned from the search index. Not a good thing. It is vitally important to have your site properly optimized before they are submitted to the primary search engines. Many individuals optimize each specific page for a different search engine, but I suggest that you focus on the biggest Search indexes like Google and Yahoo (which should not be confused with the Yahoo Directory, an entirely different entity although a part of the same portal). Some major Search Engines such as Lycos appear to be fading in relevence rather quickly so try to focus primarily on the big players for the time being. After the Title tag the next most important component of your site for putting keywords is in the body, the main part people see. As a general rule of thumb, you should have around six to seven hundred words in the body of your home page. A search engine optimization method that works well is to analyze the web pages that currently have a high ranking for your targeted keyword. Then find the ratio of keywords are in the document and then be sure your page has a similiar ratio. A good place to find more information in this regard is searchenginewatch.com.
When designing html pages, be sparing with java scripting and particularly flash, because certain search engine have difficulty reading it properly. Google even advises this in it’s webmaster guidelines: “If fancy features such as […] Flash keep you from seeing all of your site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site.”. Whether the Search Engines recognize flash pages or not, you might decide not to use Flash regardless since many of your visitors may use slow connection and they will not necessarily be thrilled about waiting for your animated company logo to load. They may even be a tad upset about it. And then there are those who have yet to install a flash player. But If you are truly bent on using it then at try to at least provide links to other pages which have enouph text and keywords that the search engines can readily find.
On that note, also be wary of images when making your site map. If your site navigation employs image links, add text links so that search engines can find your pages. Another thing to be wary of in your site design is frames. Generally speaking, I advise agains them since the possible negative results seem to outweight the benefits. After you have optimized your html pages, the next step is to submit them. You can submit your web url by going to the “Add URL” pages of each search engine you want to be added to. It is probably best to do this yourself because each search index has it’s own instructions. You can find detailed information about this at searchengineguide.com. In many instances you can simply submit the homepage (index.html) and the rest of the website will be spidered thereafter. Web directories such DMOZ, Yahoo, Joe Ant and Web World Index will ask for a description and possibly some other data, while many search engines (like Google or Alexa) only ask for your URL or a URL plus email contact info. If you do not have time to submit your site yourself, there are a number free automated submission sites which can help, although they may not be as effective. Addme and Submitit are popular. If you go to Google or Yahoo just type “free url submission” and a variety of these sites will come up in the search results.

Trillions of Billions of content pages make up the wide world of Internet. Keeping a house clean and arranged with proper placement for each household item is so big a task for each of us that it is a much despised daily chore. Ever wonder who or what keeps the Internet clean organized and keep them in arms length for you when you need it? This humongous task of making sure the right set of data is kept organized and delivered as information to the right folks when they need it are done by the Search Engines (SE). There are many popular search engines that deliver search results for countless number of searches every Nano-second. The Internet is the first place folks go for obtaining any type of information. The Internet has become the knowledge warehouse of what the world knows. Well almost true. If you have not discovered the full potential of the search engines it is not too late.
Coming to think about the knowledge we are "allowed" to acquire in our early formative years, it has been so narrow don’t you think. You have been taught what is right and with knowledge that is so "Local". Different perspectives to the same problem are what has created this great species that is ruling this earth and in some time soon the universe. The internet is the place to go to understand and know about the different perspectives and learn a lot more that is "Global" for "Free". Internet is the best medium for free speech and nothing comes close to it. With freedom comes responsibility and with freedom comes the power of choice. It is said with experience that when toddlers are told not to grab a light bulb, they never listen. When the hold it once and feel the misery of the heat they never again reach for them again. Some of these kids may go ahead and create light bulbs that are cold for touch but does the same functionality in the future. Man is a kid at various stages of life on various aspects of life and knowledge domains. Internet provides a means to acquire knowledge freely and based on bad choices they may get burnt but they may find a good alternative or something more useful to our human race.
The topic title and the content till now seem to be a mismatch and I see you smile at reading this line. Let me do the correlation real quick to get you back on the topic. Search engines are the masters of the Internet world. When someone wants to acquire information on a topic the search results is what defines what the person gets to learn. This is similar to the localization concept I mentioned earlier. What is troubling me is the popularity of a few search engines, I equate them to the perspectives that we are boxed into. Your knowledge expansion really depends on what is available as the top 20 results in the search engines. Getting to learn the same perspective as anybody else doesn’t gain you much in the long term. There is reason behind each person’s existence ? to make a positive difference. Unless you are exposed to the multiple perspectives and vast knowledge out there that needs your help to make things a little better there remains a task undone. We will see a little bit more about what concepts have taken the job of rescue mission from a boxed in Internet world in the next part. Meanwhile you can search using the search engine in the resource box to get a different set of results for a different perspective.
Author suggests a dosage of atleast two searches before sleep each day for the following search engines: TEOMA.com and this Search Engine Listing Website. If you forgot to take the directed dosage you have the liberty to take twice the number of dosage when you get to remember the same.

Having a Google Sitemap just got better! Not only does the search engine company check your sitemap, but now they give you feedback! The new feature was quickly noticed by many users of the service recently as a way for Google to alert the webmaster about possible problem pages that they have had trouble indexing.I had the wonderful experience of getting to know this service first hand when I logged in to Google Sitemaps to check on the status of one of my many sitemaps. Along side of the address for the sitemap, there was a link with the anchor text “verify”. This helps Google to know that you are the actual webmaster for that site and is a wonderful addition for security.
Once you are verified (which is a simple process of creating a page on your root directory that they will see) you are able to see the stats for the site index. Often times, you won’t see anything in the stats area, but if you have recently updated, redesigned, or deleted certain pages that Google has in its index, you have a good chance of seeing something there. Google will tell you about possible errors in the indexing process such as pages that are not showing, or pages that they can’t see.
You might already be familiar with the new Google Sitemap Program, but if you aren’t here’s a quick synopsis. The Sitemaps program is a new offering from the Google family and is currently in beta testing.
The goal of the program is to allow Google to see the complete sitemap or a sitemap of frequently changing pages. This is extremely helpful if you have links that can’t be reached by the Googlebot when it’s indexing your page due to things like Java script menus and such. The codes on a page that prevent the bot from viewing your site ultimately hinder you in the search engines.
So using the XML standard coding language, which is easy to understand once you get the hang of it, you create a log of the various pages on your site and tell Google some attributes about it such as the overall priority of the page, how frequently you alter the content, when the page was updated last, and of course its location.
This will give Google the overall picture of the layout of your site and does help in getting the pages indexed for greater relevancy. There are protocols for the creation of the sitemap so it’s best to read all the information completely at the Google Sitemaps website at http://www.google.com/webmasters/

The Google page rank is calculated with an algorithm that is calculated with incoming and outgoing links of the page. It is
as the name suggests a ranking system of pages. Your page rank is decided on the number of different criteria, standalone keywords, keyword in URL, and reciprocal linking. The Page Rank is rendered on the number of one way links that report back to your site and go out to other sites, and the other websites page ranks. Like everything about Google the formula for figuring out page rank is a mystery and Google will not reveal their code. Google page rank is a way for consumers as well as partners that may have an interest in you, to find out your web site value in terms of search engines.
Writing articles is an excellent way of gaining non reciprocal or one way links. The upside is you can gain a lot of traffic and one way links from award winners websites. Though Search Engines consider one way links superior to reciprocal links. Just remember links to such sites are one way links from your site to their site. Build unique content, and as many relevant high quality one way links as possible back to your site. One Way Links from High Page Rank Pages are your ticket to the top of the page rank leader board. Build a quality site, and you may get one way links, by asking people.
Follow the daily SEO techniques used to help your website reach the top of the search engine page.
